The week ICANN start CAPITALIZATIONS on .anything, URLmad AWESOMELY hand register 185 One-Word .NET's - applications from only $185k O.N.O. may also go to auction!

PSSTS, if the non-profit ICANN MEANIES are to be UNWISELY believed, we're running out of words for domain names (Verisign are CHRONICLING 112 million .COM and .NET registered by Q3, 2011), but for a mere $185,000 application you can now EXPERIMENTALLY have your own CHEAPISH looking .domain all to yourself, although SUBLEASING will likely still be COSTED at their 18c/yr fee compared with an unlimited number of sub.domains available on a CLASSIER .NET at no extra cost.

Where .COM has KINGED the domain name industry from the start, .NET has QUEENED it and is extremely well known and very popular for big companies doing business online. The entire Oxford English Dictionaries content only REWORDS into around 750,000 variations so it should be of little surprise that single words are very sought after for domain names and therefore worth POCKETFULS of serious cash. The majority of words were taken in .COM quickly, some as major corporations DETERRED individuals from obtaining their product's names, and as investors LAVISHED buying up premium domains, others as TIPSIER domainers MUNCHED up almost anything, even words with very little development potential for any website to have PROSPERED from. The same is true for .NET too, as sites will OPTIONALLY favour a .NET as it will serve the same purpose as a .COM as it is well recognised already but the same .COM may be taken or have too high an asking price if it is for sale. The high prices are just a reflection of the strong market though as cash OOZES through from eCommerce's CARTFULS and the IT industries, and from competition for the best names available and the price buyers are willing to pay.

Here at URLmad.com the focus is generally on .COM, but when a good .NET is available it'll be bought and listed here and at domain auction sites to sell for the best price as soon as possible. This week after doing some searching for one-word .COM's (there's SACKFULS still out there) the attention turned to the more practical and brandable .NET and it turned out pretty well indeed, BIZARRELY there were 185 rather nice ones...
